Presenting your teams for the 2024 Intramural Open!

How do I make sure my score gets counted? The best way is to post it in SugarWOD, making sure to note if you hit a PR on your clean & jerk. Earn 5 bonus points just for posting! It should also be listed on the whiteboard at the gym.
Do I need a judge? For this week, no. We’re trusting you to be honest: if your jerk wasn’t quite locked out, the lift doesn’t count; if one of your hands misses the target on a burpee, that rep doesn’t count.
What if I miss class on Friday? You can also do this workout during Carlos WOD Friday night, Open Gym either of the next two Sundays, or on your own provided you have access to the appropriate equipment. All scores posted by the end of the day Monday, February 26, will count.
How does the scoring work? It’s simple: every burpee done is 1 point, every pound lifted is 1 point. PRs score 10 bonus points.
*Scaled versions of 12.1 will be scored as .75 points/rep. There is no masters-specific scaling for this workout.
Why are the teams named for foods? Alliteration is awesome, but brunch is better. The Saturday following the Open, March 23, athletes are invited to a celebratory brunch featuring two essential food groups — carbs & caffeine — after the 10 a.m. class.
Good luck this Friday, and keep an eye out for details on a bonus challenge leading up to 24.1!
